· Teaching the Mandarin language to Paul Rogers at weekly scheduled lessons and the regular, persistent practicing of the language with him

· Regular translation of property related written materials including weekly new store opening documents, store drawings, emails, and general items from Shanghai and Beijing Costa businesses and/or its consultants and suppliers

· Verbal translation in attendance at meetings within Costa China businesses, contractor and suppliers. This may require some travel within China in accompanying Paul Rogers during business trips

· Producing minutes of meetings, i.e. weekly new store investment committee and publishing in duel English and China

· Assisting the Director of Property in the carrying out of his day-to-day property, store design and construction tasks.

· Taking on small projects to aid the growth of the Costa business

· Ad-hoc translation support for rest of Costa Hub office and/or its UK visitors

Education

• English language or University graduate

Skills

• Strong spoken and written Chinese and English skills
• Passion for, competent and experienced in teaching Mandarin.
• Able to translate accurately both verbally and in the written form between both languages
• Understanding of property, design or construction principles and terminology (beneficial but not essential)
• Experience in working with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel

• Confident and hard working. Comfortable in working under pressure.
• Culturally aware of key differences between China and UK
• Proactive and self managed
• Ability to multi-task
• Good team player and also able to work on their own initiative
