University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a senior business development manager in Executive Education
Your Responsibility
Your key responsibilities include:
- Identification of prospective executive education clients,
- Qualification and prioritisation of clients,
- Identification of specific opportunities,
- Relationship management of current/prospective clients,
- Management of budgets and lower level business development staff.
About You
- You should have a good understanding of corporate executive education,
- You should have a proven track record of business-to-business sales and experience in international/multi-cultural environment(s).
- You should have excellent Chinese (putonghua) and English skills, both written and verbal.

In operation for just over 10 years, NUBS China currently has approximately 2,800 students of which about 400 are enrolled in postgraduate programmes including a Ph.D. programme. It has a rapidly expanding international faculty of about 90, all based in Ningbo China and coming from 27 countries or so. The school is EQUIS accredited and is part of a university that is highly rated and is seeking to improve further its ranking among the world’s top research and teaching universities. NUBS China focuses its efforts around the three "I"s-International, Innovative, and Interactive. Since 2011, NUBS China has rapidly progressed towards an increasing focus on high impact research, customized executive education, and high quality teaching.
NUBS China is expanding its executive education activity based on a strong track record of success in providing high value customised programmes in areas such as globalisation and leadership. The Senior Business Development Manager will play a key role in building NUBS Executive Education business in China as well as cooperating with NUBS in the UK and Malaysia. This is a new post arising out of the Executive Education Strategy of NUBS China and the importance of business development to the success of this strategy. The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new business with executive education clients and growing existing relationships. These clients include both domestic and foreign companies in China, as well as global clients working together with other campuses.

This is a permanent post that you will be offered a fixed term contract initially of 2 years with University of Nottingham Ningbo China with effect from February 2020 or as soon as thereafter. This contract can be extended on an indefinite basis based on mutual agreement.
