Department: Engineering and Product Development
Reports To: Global Integration Operations Manager, Director API & Integrations, Vice President of Engineering and Product

Position Summary: The API & Integration Operations (Int Ops) Engineer is a key member of the API & Integration
organization. They are the primary point of contact for all API integration efforts. Int Ops Engineers work directly with
developers at third party companies that are developing integrations from their systems to any of the Pelco systems. The
atmosphere in this position is very dynamic and requires someone that is able to shift with the needs of the business while
maintaining good communication and relationships with all of our third party partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Use CRM to track and document specific partner issues
2. Capture, report and manage the process for bugs fixes within SDK and Product Development
3. Validate and manage scope as Partner Integration Request is processed
4. Respond to inquiries asking how to use the SDKs or APIs at a technical level
5. Escalate issues to the partners development management team when there is poor cooperation from the partner's developm
ent team
6. Communicate status of ongoing 3rd party developed integration projects to Bus Dev
7. Supporting site installations that are not working after the 3rd party developed integration was completed
8. Scope amount of support effort required for a 3rd party developed integration
9. Identify sample code required for partners
10. Ensure the partner has tools and documentation needed for a successful 3rd party developed integration
11. Interface with other Buildings groups to address 3rd party developed integration related issues.
12. Interface with Endura, DS, DX and Imaging groups to address 3rd party developed integration related issues.
13. Establish and utilize a common set of communication tools for interacting with partners (ie. Webex, Team Viewer, GTalk)
14. Receive and manage escalations from Product Support
15. Communicate with partners regarding the status of the Partner Integration Lab
16. Provide access to integration assistance solutions (VMWare images, test harnesses, qualification tools)
17. Maintain Partner Integration Lab and ensure partners have access to all the equipment
18. Specify equipment required in the partner lab
19. Assist in managing remote partner access to lab
20. Create sample code based on identified use cases
21. Travel to customer and end user sites to participate in technical development and build or maintain customer relationship
22. Act as a point of escalation for technical solutions within the team
MINIMUM TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
They should have a minimum of 10 years experience in the video industry and possess knowledge of security systems and
components. This position requires the employee to be proficient in at least two Object㎡riented Programming Languages
such as C#, C++, and JAVA. They should be able to demonstrate knowledge of and experience working with COM
objects, Microsoft.NET Framework and Visual Studio, TCP and UDP network protocols, Unicast, and Multicast routing
protocols, Windows troubleshooting tools and techniques and an expert knowledge of a structured approach to debugging

and troubleshooting practices. Knowledge of Agile development processes and techniques, having experience in software
development in a manufacturing or support environment, knowledge of high-level, object-oriented design methodologies and
potentially experience as an IT or Systems Administrator. Additionally having the ability to write Linux shell scripts utilizing
Perl or similar scripting language along with knowledge of SOAP / XML and WSDL standards is required. Lastly having
knowledge and experience configuring Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN) as well as knowledge of
common encryption algorithms and common compilers and “make” tools are desirable.
MINIMUM PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
They should have a Bachelor’s degree or a minimum 5 years experience in a related function at Pelco by Schneider Electric.
Experience working with and troubleshooting Pelco equipment, such as the Endura System DX series recorders, DS series
recorders, and IP Camera’s is required. 2-3 years of experience in some sort of technical support center environment is required
for this position. The employee should possess strong troubleshooting and project management skills, have ability to drive
resolution of issues requiring cross-group collaboration. They should possess excellent analytical and problems solving
skills, combined with the ability to provide a quick resolution to problems. They should be efficient with all Microsoft Office
applications. A key skill in this position is having excellent verbal and written communication skills. They should be able to
work in a culturally diverse workplace with personnel from a variety of backgrounds, cultures and beliefs and have the ability
to travel both domestically and internationally.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Having a Masters degree is desired. Experience working with high priority customers/partners in a fashion in which account
management skills are used to ensure the customer is a promoter of Pelco by Schneider Electric.
