Position Description:
Business Area: Marketing Communications / Launch Management

Business Area Description:
The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for developing world-class marketing communications materials and integrated campaigns to support the promotion of Lenovo’s consumer PC products outside of China.

This position requires close collaboration with a wide variety of teams inside Lenovo, as well as alliance partners and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities of the position:
Marketing Communications
Work with Corporate Marketing Organization and external agencies to develop world-class sales enablement and marketing materials to support new product launches, and deploy to regions according to product launch cadence
Develop integrated campaigns and marketing programs and drive deployment to regional teams, including alignment of financial resources
Work with Product/Business Unit
Understand product team’s business objectives and product roadmaps, prioritising product launches and managing development of communications materials & integrated campaigns accordingly
Work with Regional/Geo Marketing teams
Develop deep communication with regions to understand regional business objectives, marketing strategies, and operational considerations
Work with region marketing and sometimes sales/4P managers to develop and deploy integrated campaigns for key launches
Regular communication with regions solicit feedback on marketing collaterals
Alliance Integration
Build relationships with alliance partners to win funding for key programs
Integrate alliance partner requirements into launch tactics

Key Competencies Needed
Leadership & Organizational Skills
 Experience running management systems & processes, assigning work, prioritizing and organizing, etc.
 Highly proactive, with strategic sense to identify, anticipate and mitigate issues
Marketing Expertise
 Experience in consumer brands
 At least 6 years work experience in marketing with coverage in at least two of the following areas - branding, strategic communications, advertising, online marketing, retail marketing, social media, event marketing
Communication
 Excellent communications skills; able to work with teams in China and overseas, fostering trust and collaboration in both face-to-face and remote working scenarios
 Presentation skills – able to present and persuade effectively over the phone and in person, adaptable to different audiences and situations
 Language skills – bi-lingual (Mandarin and English) preferred. Reading/writing Mandarin an advantage, but not required.

Position Requirements:
Previous Experience:
IT/technology industry experience not necessary, but an interest in technology is advantageous
Agency background preferred
At least 6 years’ experience working in marketing communications
People management experience
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
Bachelor's Degree in marketing or business preferred
Able to demonstrate strong creative capability
Highly motivated and result oriented
Ability to work independently and as a team leader
Experience working with different cultures
Fluency in Business English is a requirement
Mandarin language capabilities (ideal)

Style of Person who would fit into Team:
Outgoing with strong communication skills, able to work with a wide variety of people and shows creative flair
