Summary

Support country/local Logistic activities contracts, relationship with providers, operation performances and support local logistics optimization inside his/her region

Responsibilities

• Cost management of the ASPAC logistic solution and budget. He/She will monitor the performance of the solution and also its costs. Project for cost savings must be identified and implemented.

• Be instrumental to lead the ASPAC Supply Chain budget preparation, collecting the data, assumptions and proposal from the countries and the plan from the global department and the consolidation with ASPAC Finance team

• He/She will be the link with the global Supply Chain teams : global transportation, quality for Supply Chain, performance team. He/She will deploy the group strategy in the region for the logistics domains

• Be accountable to manage the ASPAC subs logistic experts community to ensure we have an active sharing, collaborating and working as a team

• Controls warehousing and transportation subcontractors of secondary distribution network, including domestic distribution from central LSP warehouse (where applicable), by defining annual Service Level Agreement, monitoring activity, addressing disputes and cost impact; contributing to quality and regulatory audits, following up related actions in close collaboration with local supply chain organization and according to Global Logistics contracts when it is related to a global 3PL

• Defines and Maintains end-customer specificities in terms of logistics services provided by bioMérieux (packaging, shipping conditions, certificates, …), ensuring consistency with Global Logistics guidelines. Provides inputs for mid/long range plan & strategy and information to Global Logistics to enrich standard logistic services catalogue definition according to his region specificities

• Watches for local/regional regulatory environment evolutions

• Steers the optimization of his local/cluster platform's way of working: lead times, costs, quality, workload and staffing, safety in relationship with employees representatives. Provides technical support to local/cluster in-house logistics center (equipment, infrastructure, fluids and energy) in compliance with safety, regulatory, quality and business constraints

• Ensures the Master Data accuracy for master data accuracy: Customer transportation Lead Times, Customs Lead Time & constraints

• Leads the team, manages and monitors team's workload and performance; defines objectives, methods and skills needed, in compliance with all applicable regulations; drives budget/resources for his perimeter

  
  Requirements
  
  

• Master's degree ideally with specialization in Supply Chain or International Transportation / Customs

• More than 5 years relevant regional experience and people-management experience

• Expert in logistics (warehousing and transportation) and a strong negotiator

• Capability to manage outside service providers, highly performance and cost-oriented

• Strong ability to work in a matrix and multi-cultural environment, with good interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to translate goals into action plans and highly proactive

• Strong ability in projects and functional teams management with good continuous improvement mindset
