As an integral part of Honeywell Aerospace’s global team, we are the world-class aerospace engineering team established as part of Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS) China, one of the four Honeywell global R&D centers, dedicated to serving the rapidly growing Chinese market. Our HTS China Aerospace PSE-ISC (Product Support Engineering and Integrated Supply Chain) team provides advanced manufacturing, materials processing, project engineering and management solutions to support Honeywell Aerospace’s new product development programs as well as the company’s supply chain development in China with a strong focus of local market applications. 

The PSE’s (Product Support Engineering) Materials Engineering group is responsible for providing technical support on the materials and processes involved in the design and manufacturing of parts that go into various aerospace product platforms including aircraft propulsion engines, auxiliary power units, and wheel/brake systems.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Complete material testing as required (tensile, fatigue, metallography, hardness, ICP,…)
• Leading innovative effort for ISC/PSE team and being the team material focal for X-SBG activities
• Providing expertise in materials testing, contribute to material lab strategic development plan
• Support sourcing/transition and Value Engineering projects related to material testing with cross-functional teams to drive on-time delivery of products with sufficient quality.  
• Communicating effectively with multiple stakeholders including engineering leadership, Sourcing team and leadership, global engineering and ISC leaderships with respect to project goals, plans, status, and actions.  Be able to establish a strong technical position to influence the global team’s decisions and strategies. 
• Assisting suppliers in continuous improvement of their manufacturing operations.  Driving root cause analysis and providing effective solutions that impact project lead time, product yield and delivery.

YOU SHOULD HAVE/BE

• Bachelors or Master degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy Engineering or related filed.
• 5 years working experience in materials domain; aerospace industry and hands-on shop-floor experience is a plus.
• Strong and diverse material testing experience (tensile, fatigue, crack growth analysis, metallography, chemical composition analysis,…) and as well failure analysis
• Experience with NADCAP is a plus.
• Experience working on NADCAP for one or more of the following special processes (Heat Treatment, Melting & Conversion, forging, NDT, Welding)
• Self-motivated and biased on getting results.  Willing to take ownership of project performance including cycle time and milestone fidelities. 
• An influential leader to enable cross-functional teams to be successful in achieving Honeywell Aerospace’s common goals.
• Proactive in identifying risks and opportunities associated with owned projects.  Willing to take actions to solve problems quickly and to break various barriers as necessary.
• Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in coordinating and overseeing successful projects
• Strong oral and written communication skills both in Mandarin and English.
• Strong team building skills.
