Position Title

Software Unit Test Engineer

Role Summary/Purpose

In this role as a software unit test engineer, you will be part of a team working in R&D phase. You will be responsible for writing and maintaining unit tests using google test framework.

Essential Responsibilities

In this role as a software engineer you will:

· Read, understand, and evaluate C++ code files for unit test.

· Plan unit test strategy for individual unit under test.

· Create environments and write unit test for UUT using google test framework.

· Analyze test results for potential bugs.

· Run existing unit tests against updated code file and update for regressions as appropriate.

· Work with developer to design functional unit tests where appropriate.

Qualifications/Requirements

· Firm understanding of C++.

· A solid technical understanding of the principles and procedures of software engineering (e.g., SDLC, Agile).

· Experience with embedded software and Linux software development.

· Be passionate about software quality and be prepared to advocate on behalf of good processes and best practices.

· Ability to discuss normally encountered technical issues, both verbally and in written form.

· Ability to work as a collaborative team member.

Desired Characteristics

· Experience with unit test tools / techniques (e.g. google test)

· Experience with industrial device software engineering disciplines (e.g., software development environments, configuration management tools, testing methods and test management tools)

· Background: B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field and 1 – 3-year related experience.
