Essential Responsibilities:

1、Lead the microphone system engineering design of all the Harman Life-style division product, such as portable speaker, headphone and smart home system.

2、Develop microphone system technology, product prototypes and manufacturing processes to aid external based on Harman internal or 3rd party’s solutions and technologies.

3、Monitor and evaluate new mic system technologies which is suitable for voice communication, voice recognition and high quality recording etc.,

4、Analyze Harman internal projects’ and external customers’ requirements and specifications to propose the appropriate solutions to award the project and execute the engineering function on mic part through the full program cycle

5、Work with projects team leaders and PM to solve the engineering issues.

6、Establish and coordinate activities with third party developers and contractors to build up the microphone system technology.

7、Communicate with peers inside the HARMAN Consumer Audio Product group for product development. This includes occasional travel for training or coordination with other groups and suppliers to HMM.

8、Participate in internal and customer driven design reviews throughout product development program lifecycles.

Basic Qualifications:

1、Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, Computer Science or equivalent.

2、7+ years acoustics background experience.

3、 Working knowledge of acoustics telecommunications, including various types of microphone systems, speaker systems, wideband telecommunications, voice recognition and recording technology.

4、Very good understanding of principles of acoustics engineering.

5、Must have acoustic/digital signal analysis and debugging capability.

6、Familiarity with various narrow band and wide band acoustic telecommunication standards.

7、Working knowledge of digital signal processing, including echo cancellers, echo suppression, noise suppression, witched loss and full duplex systems, sub-band technologies, beam forming, microphone voting.

8、ility to read schematics and debug analog and digital hardware.

9、ble to use lab equipment such as Soundtrack, Artificial mouth, B&K equipment, Audio amplifier etc

10、perience on Google GVA, Amazon AVS or Microsoft test are preferred.

11、perience on Smart speaker mic system design and acoustic system test are plus

12、perience on MEMS or ECM mic design is preferred.
