What We Are Looking For !

The CA/SCEs are responsible for delivering the complete cloud computing architecture capable of supporting a ‘Cloud First’ approach for the JCI organization globally, while also ensuring a successful transition of the present JCI compute footprint to the cloud.

The primary role of the CA/SCE will be to…

· Lead cultural change for cloud adoption

· Develop and coordinate the cloud architecture deployment

· Develop a cloud strategy that meets JCI’s future global business needs.

The cloud computing architecture encompasses everything involved with a cloud computing delivery model, which includes the front-end platforms, servers, storage and the networks required to deliver/manage the cloud environment(s).

What you will do !

The CA/SCE must be able to build strong relationships across the business and partner community to ensure that the solutions delivered meet the required business value while also acting as the technical authority and escalation point for all cloud technical issues…..by….

？ Performing Solution design based on internal customer requirements in the areas of public/private cloud IaaS & PaaS offerings

？ Performing analysis of existing on-prem application readiness for transition to cloud

？ Performing engineering design evaluations for new environment builds

？ Architect, implement and improve possible automations for cloud environments

？ Implement industry standard security practices during implementation and maintain it throughout the lifecycle.

？ Advise and engage with internal business units on their cloud application strategy roadmap

？ Maintain deep industry knowledge of the market for cloud services, enterprise applications, business process management, advanced analytics, and integration software

？ Build strong relationships with JCi’s strategic vendor partners.

What We Look For !

The ideal candidate for the role of cloud architect/senior cloud engineer at JCI will typically have extensive knowledge across many of the following technology fields…

· Experience architecting solutions leveraging Azure, GCP, or OCI IaaS/PaaS services

· Experience of large scale & complex IT infrastructure design / delivery

· In-depth knowledge of service delivery automation , devops implementation and service improvement initiatives.

· Relevant On-premise infrastructure architecture such as VMware, hypervisor, storage arrays, Network Security

· Knowledge of network design and implementation architectures

Education

· Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

· Certification with any of the top industry Cloud Providers – eg Azure , Google , AWS, - would be an advantage.

· Formal Network and/or Storage certification would be an advantage
