Objective of Job:

-      Lead HVAC product development program

-      Support sourcing / PPAP activities

-      Release activities up to launch and supplier management. Initially on localisation programmes delivering "make to print" components, transitioning to new model design as future programmes develop.

-      Manage and lead the internal cross functional activities required to deliver the component.

-      Lead engineering activities including the application delivery of the HVAC systems commodities from programme start to launch inc. target setting, component development, supplier engagement, component release, relevant build support activities, component and vehicle sign-off including production validation.

Functionality Skills and Technical skills

-      Product design release of HVAC System

-      Sealing integration of vehicle

-      Create technical specifications of HVAC System and other technical documents for sourcing

-      Technical review

-      Work together with supplier to improve system design

-      Working with supplier to coordinate the timing and activities

-      Define and release DVP of HVAC System modules

-      Support supplier DV test and evaluation based on test results

-      Approve DVP&R at the correct stages

-      Trouble shooting of HVAC System design / development / testing

-      Organise parts for vehicle build

-      Engineering sign off for production

 

Mgt and Leadership Skills

-      Demonstrated leadership experience and skills

-      Effectively manage multiple projects and work with team members

-      Able to take the lead, set targets, and deliver on time

 

Experience and education

-      Bachelor degree (or above) in automotive engineering or mechanical engineering

-      Minimum of 5 years product knowledge and experience in order to successfully perform this task.

-      Experience of joint venture component localisation with multi national OEM

-      This role will entail a working knowledge of HVAC  commodities and associated assemblies
