Job Description & Summary

A career within Legal Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients adopt a more strategic approach to global entity governance across their organisations. We help our clients and their legal entities with the incorporation of new companies, on going compliance with local legislation, and restructuring of their global businesses to manage governance and compliance risks.

Our team specialises in providing legal advice across all of our clients disciplines. You’ll help provide legal support to a wide array of specialty areas from cyber security and technology to banking and intellectual property.

Junior associates in our Corporate and M&A team will be working on mergers and acquisitions transaction, business reorganisations, and other complex corporate legal problems.

Their responsibilities will include:

1. Research and analyse the law on complex issues and write internal memos to supervising lawyers;

2. Perform legal due diligence and coordinate the closings of merger and acquisition transactions;

3. Draft and negotiate corporate agreements and transaction documents;

4. Prepare step plan and documentation for business reorganisations;

5. Support on knowledge and precedents sharing and business development.

Requirements

1. 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in complex corporate commercial and transactions work; graduates with no full-time working experience will be considered on merits;

2. Strong academic track record and excellent technical skills;

3. Ability to effectively and clearly communicate, both in writing and verbally;

4. High work standards and a willingness to learn;

5. Culture dexterity and commercial awareness.
