Accountabilities:

• Manage the insurable risk portfolio within SF DHL.
• In conjunction with risk identification stakeholders, evaluate, quantify and design appropriate insurance solutions, meeting the corporate’s governance criteria.
• Closely work with selected insurance brokers and pertinent insurers in various insurance placements which include but not limit to PDBI, CGL, Logistics Liability, Employer’s Liability, etc., meeting the corporate operation and governance needs.
• Collaboratively work with internal customers (business colleagues) to develop value-added insurance products, e.g. Cargo Transportation Insurance, Stock Property Insurance, etc. to meet the business groups and their customers’ needs.
• Follow up on the placement / renewal process, exposure data gathering, and timely delivery of data to brokers and pertinent insurers.
• Follow up on periodical business / exposure data gathering to meet insurance governance needs.
• Follow up on insurance invoice process for premium payments.
• Produce insurance budget estimates and align guidance on insurance programme with the corporate management.
• Maintain effective communication with internal customers, respond to ad-hoc queries relating to coverage and / or documentations, etc.
• Continuously look to improve training material to optimize insurance programme engagement with all stakeholders.
• Conduct periodic reviews of insurance programme loss data in order to identify trends and make risk management recommendations to all stakeholders.
• Understand business risk and the connection between operations and insurance.

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Degree in Risk Management, Insurance or other closely related field
• Qualified in ACII / ANZIIF preferable
• 10+ years’ insurance experience within a large multinational environment
• Solid understanding of P&C insurance programme management and deployment, particularly Logistics liability and Marine Cargo insurance
• Good understanding of Supply Chain and / or Logistics industry
• Experience of working with different business cultures and across borders
• Exceptional analytical and technical aptitude
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage shifting priorities and maintain quality deliverables
• Concise and clear communication when presenting and explaining results and findings
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin
