JOB SUMMARY：

l  Develop the tangible & robust FF product development plan, and ensure to deliver key milestones as per aligned project plan by providing technical expertise of FF to meet business needs;

l  Deliver the high quality technical documents to support for FF product registration or filling based on the relevant regulation requirement;

l  Working together with cross functional team to develop the FF portfolio and I/R pipeline based on company strategy, business opportunity and consumer needs;

KEY COMPETENCY:

l  Expertise on ingredients, packaging material, formulation, processing & manufacturing of tablet - & capsule - based functional food, and thorough understanding on the composition & functionality of functional ingredients will be mandatory;

l  Be familiar with China regulation requirements on functional food, functional ingredients, functional claim, manufacturing, product registration or filing; have working experience with external partner such as co-manufacturer will be an “Add”. 

l  Strong interpersonal skills working with both internal & external partners, strong written & oral English communication skills to enable working with global team & be good at report writing in both EN & CN;

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1.     Develop the tangible & robust FF product development plan, and ensure to deliver key milestones as per aligned project plan by providing technical expertise of FF to meet business needs;

l  To work out the plan with target targeting timing on bench top trials, pilot trials, industrial trials, registration trials and commercial production plan based on business needs;

l  Lead on the recipe design, processing set up and processing parameter optimization;

l  Lead on the functional ingredients & packaging material identification, selection and qualification, issue the raw material & packaging material purchasing specification based on Nestle template and requirement;

l  Working closely with analytical lab for new analytical method development if needed;

l  Issue the trial protocol or technical review/approval of the trial protocol, conduct the execution of the planned trials or technical supervision for the trials planned, issue trial report or review/approve the trial report;

l  Technical evaluation for the co-manufacturers/co-packers,  conduct on-site audit, issue finding report, follow-up on gap closure, review corrective action and final qualification for technical part;

2.     Deliver the high quality technical documents to support for FF product registration or filling based on the relevant regulation requirement;

l  Work together with the project team to generate the product registration or filing strategy and plan based on the business;

l  Lead on the preparation of technical documents including R&D report, recipe, manufacturing process, packaging material & product standard etc. to ensure info correctness, consistency, product safety & regulation compliance;

l  Working closely with RSA, manufacturing site & global team. to provide technical solutions for gaps & technical challenges against regulation requirements;

l  Provide technical interpretation, concerned items feedback and proposed solutions on new regulations;  

3.     Working together with cross functional team to develop the FF portfolio and I/R pipeline based on company strategy, business opportunity and consumer needs;

l  Working together with Strategy, Marketing NPD, PMO and global team to develop strategic fit product portfolio and I/R pipeline;

l  To support on the business opportunity identification, business case preparation and project approval based on marketing trend, category size, consumer needs, competitive data & technical feasibility etc.;

 EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Educational /Training  

Bachelor degree above major in Chemistry, bioengineering, Food Science & Technology or Food Engineering

Working Experiences (min 5 years industry working experience, and at least 3 years working in FF industrial)

n  Working experience in product development of R&D or technical dept./application group of manufacturing site in FF industry is needed, at least have working experience on tablet and capsules;

n  Working experience on FF product registration/filing dossier preparation, recipe design, process development, manufacturing instruction preparation, trial protocol & report writing is a must; 

n  Prefer to have working experience in MNC company, playing a leading role in cross functional projects & working experience with Global functions;

n  Working experience with external partners such as co-manufacturers, suppliers and research institute and proved maintaining strong and productive relationship is a “Add”;

Proven tracking record of sustaining and strong performance.
