Our team provides world-class engineering and R&D capabilities to support Honeywell Aerospace growth including working with leading organizations like COMAC, AVIC, CETC and CAAC to support the rapid growth of the Chinese commercial aerospace industry. Our local engineering team also supports key global programs for Airbus, Boeing, Dassault, Embraer, and Gulfstream.

The HTS-China Cost Performance Engineering organization (CPE) is responsible to partner with Engineering, Program Management, Sourcing, and the suppliers to improve manufacturing and test processes, product cost and manufacturing performance for legacy products.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze design drawings and requirements for parts manufactured for Honeywell Aerospace applications. 
• Develop concepts of standard manufacturing processes and necessary fixture/tooling for the parts/components/assemblies of typical aerospace metallic materials.
• Estimate process cycle times. 
• Analyze manufacturing process capacity and develop LEAN solutions.
• Support Should-Cost project lead to build cost models and to conduct workshops with suppliers.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or other relevant discipline.
• >5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Operations environment with focus on cost reduction related projects.
• Strong understanding of general principles of mechanical design and manufacturing processes. 
• Be able to propose manufacturing plans and process routings. 
• Be able to evaluate engineering designs for producibility, cost, and quality.
• General knowledge of special processes, such as welding, surface treatment, heat treatment, and physical / non-destructive inspection practices.
• Acceptable written and verbal communications skills in English in a multicultural work environment.

Additional Qualifications:

• Knowledge and work experience of Aerospace industry is a considerable advantage.
• Negotiation skill that can be demonstrated with supplier support/management experience is a plus.
• Hands-on manufacturing shop-floor experience is a plus
• Experience of products cost analyses is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all organizations and levels, including ability to work in a team environment
• Strong technical documentation expertise.
• Strong knowledge of PC applications, including Excel, PPT and Word.
• Ability to travel internationally and domestically 25%.
