Sport at UNNC has seen a considerable amount of investment and development over the past two years, aiming to offer a more dynamic sporting experience for its students and staff, and also to play an integral role in campus wellbeing. The department offers a number of different programmes and areas for engagement, including: Ministry of Education PE classes, fitness programmes, student sports clubs, representative teams, student development programmes, and external projects and partnerships. The University has excellent sports facilities, including: basketball courts, volleyball courts, table tennis hall, 80+ station gym, badminton hall, squash courts, billiards area, fitness and martial arts studios, a full size 3G artificial football pitch, athletics track, several climbing and bouldering walls, tennis courts, rowing studio, grass pitches and teaching/meeting rooms.

The Sports Development Coordinator role aims to increase the level of engagement by students, staff and the community in UNNC Sport. This role will work closely with the Sports Development Team, Health & Fitness Team, PE Team, Department of Campus Life at UNNC, and various student bodies and organisations to grow participation in sport and active lifestyles at the University, and to raise the profile of UNNC to the wider community. The role aims to help develop engagement-based activities across a range of areas, and for a wide variety of ability levels and nationalities. The role would also be looking at community engagement and partnership developments, from supporting volunteering and philanthropic projects, to exploring how UNNC Sport can better engage with our local/national community.

Candidates must hold a good undergraduate degree, have experience of working in an educational environment, and have excellent Chinese and English communication skills. Experience is also essential in project or event management, as well as the ability to network and engage with a variety of people, cultures and organisations. Candidates must be able to work both independently and as part of a dynamic, exciting team.

Salary will be within the range of RMB84,990 to RMB134,294 per annum before deduction, depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this is subject to performance).
