Description:

In this position, you will provide supervision and direction to the Global Human Resources (HR) Service Center staff providing voice, email, data entry, and distribution support to Caterpillar employees, the HR community, Shared Services On-Site Teams and Process Owners on human resource related issues.

  • You will supervise a staff responsible for providing voice, email, data entry, and/or distribution support to Caterpillar employees, the HR community, Shared Services On-Site Teams and Process Owners on human resource related issues including but not limited to: PeopleSoft, Personnel Change Forms (PCF), Caterpillar Learning Management System (CLMS), employment verification, benefits, educational reimbursement, and various HR processes.
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of the area’s customer base and resolves customer issues quickly and efficiently.
  • You will serve as the final decision maker for area issue resolution, directing critical issues to the Global HR Service Center Manager.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategic and tactical goals for the teams supervised.
  • Develop and maintain metrics for the teams to monitor and promote continuous improvements in efficiency and quality of customer service.
  • Monitor and develop action plans based on customer satisfaction survey results for the area. Oversees Office Area Certification and the division’s budget.
  • Represent the Global Human Resource Service Center in various meetings and presentations. Supports New Product Introduction (NPI) programs by working with Process Owners to determine support implications of NPI programs.
  • Serve as the global process owner for human resource transactional services by providing advice and support to facilities transitioning to service center functions.
  • Support vendor management activities, customer service, and accountability by working with Process Owners on improving processes to avoid unnecessary customer support issues.
  • Enable HR product/service enhancements through customer service data mining, providing Process Owners with metrics to help drive process changes and improve policy consistency.

Required Qualifications:

· Requires extensive knowledge and expertise of human resource related issues including an understanding of the human resource policies, procedures and regulations.

· The incumbent must be familiar with the organization being served and have advanced problem-solving skills to identify solutions.

· The ability to maintain confidentiality and excellent interpersonal communication skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.

The position typically requires a college or university degree or equivalent experience. In addition, six to eight years of progressive job-related experience is required.
