u Four Main Responsibilities:
Job Weighting% Main Responsibilities
25% Policy Compliance & Operation: Execute the procurement process including completion of associated documentation (bidding analysis, contracts, purchase orders) and supplier negotiations. Ensure all purchasing activity in line with the Abbott global and China purchasing policy and procedires.
25% Vendor Management project: Execute the vendor qualification and management process, strategically establish and maintain a preferred vendor database, conduct periodical vendor evaluation program and project, long term supplier management.
25% Cost Saving: Assistant Purchasing Manager to achieve agreed financial savings for all entities as measured against target via use of purchase orders, annual purchasing contracts, consolidated purchasing, streamlined bidding, and process improvement.
25% Continuous Improvement: Build knowledge of Abbott business, operating, and procedures. Recommend improvements in Purchasing systems and technology that can improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
u Major Responsibilities/Activities:
l Support all divisions operating in China effectively and maintain smooth communication with internal customers and external vendors.
l Fulfill purchasing responsibility and ensure all supply in right time, quantity & quality.
l To act as a good coordinator between purchasing team and stakeholders and internal customers of routine purchasing related needs and strategic projects.
l Develop project strategy to establish Preferred Supplier Network (PSN) including but not limited as data analysis, supplier qualification, negotiation, contracting and continuous monitoring external vendors for various categories projects, both Indirect Services and Direct Materials
Requirement:
l Industry experiences: 2 years above working experience in purchasing or similar functions in multinational company;project management capability and experience are needed; understand China Healthcare company operation and procedure; keeping a highest ethical standard is a must.
l Position experiences: 2 years Purchasing Specialist or equivelent job position in multinational Health Care company working experience is required; project management skills and experience are required; good presentation and communication skills;
l Education requirements: Bachelor degree. Education must enable person to have effective understanding and application of business concepts.
l Language Skills:Proficient in verbal and written communication; fluency in English (written and spoken).
l Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of ERP is a plus.
l Other Special requirement:
Hardworking and disciplined.
Quick learner and highly motivated to work effectively in a team and also independently.
Committed to achieving goals and objectives within the framework of a team environment.
Effective negotiations and interpersonal skills.
Initiative and team work
Highest ethical standard.
