职位描述
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for the operation of the US distribution center, including all product inbound processing (receiving), order picking and packing, outbound order shipping, and customer returns processing. Reporting directly to the Distribution Manager are the Shift Managers, Outbound Dispatch Assistant Manager, Goods In Front Line Manager and Operations Support Services Coordinator.
Budget
- Provide input to the Resource Planning team to develop labor budgets and reforecasts
- Monitor progress against budgets on a monthly or more frequent basis, taking corrective actions where needed
- Meet or beat the fiscal budget and subsequent reforecasts on a cost per throughput basis (labor costs divided by units received, returned and shipped)
Planning
- Use business forecasts to plan and schedule the necessary staffing required in all departments to meet all processing deadlines and Service Level Agreements
- Forecast needs for temporary staffing and coordinate timely recruitment and training with Human Resources and the Operations Training & Performance teams
- Adjust schedules and staff overtime as needed to respond to fluctuations in workloads
- Monitor adherence to performance SLA’s and take correct actions were needed to meet or beat all SLA’s. Report progress to senior management and other internal stakeholders.

Staff Development
- Mentor staff and guide them in creating their own development plans
- Create succession plans and ensure ongoing development of new leadership within the team
- Identify the training requirements of the team and ensure each member has the tools, training and confidence to deliver the highest possible levels of customer service, efficiency and to work within agreed SLAs
- Ensure all team members are regularly appraised and have clear career and individual development paths
- Manage appraisals, disciplinary, grievance and performance management procedures
Process Improvement
- Either personally, or through leading team members, identify methods to improve efficiency, reduce operating costs and/or shorten customer order cycle times
- Take ownership of implementing group initiatives within the warehouse operations area to improve service or enhance customer experience
- Create a continuous improvement and quality culture that is followed throughout the team. Train and mentor staff in the use of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and other tools.
- Coordinate with IT staff to define, design and implement changes to supporting systems that improve service to customers and/or reduce operating expenses. Prioritize projects to maximize effectiveness and return on IT investment.
- Ensure staff at all levels are adequately trained to effectively and efficiently utilize automated systems and applications
Health, Safety and Security
- Ensure regulatory and internal health and safety measures and training is performed and that all staff members abide by them and they become a routine part of daily activity
- Ensure all security measures and policies are enforced within scope of responsibility
- Partner with Facilities, Inventory Control and Loss Prevention teams to establish loss control procedures and audit inventory shrink occurrences, investigating possible theft risks
