The person in this role will manage Safety, Health, Environmental & Security (SHES) programs and provide hands on SHES support for Company’s 2 newly relocated labs and offices locations in Shanghai, China. Initially, the primary focus will be working with the new labs location. The position will expand to include working with the new offices location. In the future, the successful incumbent may take on additional SHES responsibilities, working on SHES needs for Company beyond the Shanghai locations.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing SHES programs, permits, licenses, registrations

Supporting Leadership in establishing strong safety culture

Maintaining current knowledge of applicable SHES rules and regulations and monitoring for regulatory changes and impacts.

Assuring compliance with applicable government regulations, and Company SHES policies, standards, and procedures

- Providing SHES support and expertise and managing SHES issues

- Providing prompt and accurate technical advice and assistance on SHES matters

- Ensuring the wastewater treatment system is operated and maintained properly

- Leading or assisting with investigation of injuries and incidents and near misses

- Ensuring labs and offices procedures and SHES management systems are in place and routinely reviewed and updated

- Developing and delivering SHES training and communications to promote SHES awareness and understanding

- Developing and monitoring key performance indicators and evaluating and responding to SHE performance trends

- Leading the SHE Committee for the locations

- Leading SHES audits of the locations and addressing findings

-Coordinating and acting as Company’s representative during agency inspections and company SHES audits, and working with labs and offices employees to address any findings

- Working with the lab organization to drive continuous improvement

- Working on other special projects that may be assigned
