GSO Quality & Compliance Management System (QMS)

• Maintain up-to-date procedures that form part of the QMS that relate to testing methodology, testing register, certificate of conformance data (COC) and other related procedures.
• Research and benchmark testing regimes and methodologies to support the own-brand sourcing program, and provide recommendations to strengthen and improve the program based on ongoing review and Internal Audit (IA).
• Develop and deliver training programs for internal and external stakeholders to bring them on the Blackwoods journey of quality in design and compliance, ensure quality acceptance standards and met, and continually improved on.
• Management of BW Compliance & Product Testing program, product certifications, to budget and timeline, including liaise with TPL testing providers.
• Support & develop supplier quality programs to further develop supplier capabilities to ensure quality acceptance standards and met, and continually improved on. Includes quality matters investigations and factory CI projects to ensure right fight first time targets are met and maintained, and factory process is continually improving.

Factory & Product Compliance / Design / Standards & CI

• Ensure all own-design / engineered product conforms to relevant AS/NZS or international standards, industry and/or BW internal product requirements for Quality & Safety (include safety in design and risk controls implemented at factory level)
• Ensure all due diligence, labelling and marketing claims have appropriate testing commensurate to the level of risk.
• Technical specification development and review, and put measures in place to ensure compliance with nominated standards (per above) to support sourcing and category teams.
• Conduct supplier/factory quality technical and capability audits and risk assessments as part of the on-boarding process, and ongoing site visits, including corrective action and risk mitigation plans, and communication plan (internal and external) until resolution.
• Liaise (and book) with approved TPL to support audits and inspections where required. Review and approve TPL report findings.
• Ensure production samples are catalogued where required and First Article / Gold Seal samples are signed and approved and stored at agreed locations.

Reporting

• Provide input into GSO Vendor Performance reviews by provide insights and performance data on quality (systems and QC results), product safety and testing/compliance.

Safety

Leads the safety agenda by ensuring adhere to, and work towards meeting their HSE Responsibilities as advised in the GetSAFE 3.1 HSE Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Authorities Standard

• 3+ years’ experience in apparel role essential - product compliance, engineering, design.
• Specification development, including testing methodology and verification.
• Data analysis and technical report writing.
• Familiarity with design concepts, patterns

Demonstrated understanding of ISO 9001 and implementation of quality management system
