Responsibilities:

• Ensure that we produce accurate financial statements and that we maintain a sound system of internal controls to protects assets and record transactions accurately.
• Manage a team of 8-10
• Identifies and interprets policies, and standards, and their impact on business transactions and resolves accounting issues, seeking counsel when necessary
• Drive process improvement projects to improve finance effectiveness and efficiency
• Oversees and manages General Ledger and month end close activities to ensure that financial statements are in accordance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements
• Ensure all transactions are properly approved and documented in line with corporate policies and procedures
• Ensures all accounts are reconciled in a timely manner, balances are accurate and transactions correctly booked
• Manages and provides guidance on grants of authorities (GOAs) to local organization
• Implement and execute strong compliant, controlled financial accounting processes, FCPA and anti-corruption processes
• Manage external auditing, global internal audit and SOX compliance review
• Work with Corporate Tax team to manage annual tax filling, tax compliance affairs, and support Transfer Pricing work with US
• Collaborate with Center Finance, International Finance, MAST Finance, Treasury, MGT to gain alignment and support for accounting, controlling and system issues
• Interacts with local government agencies where necessary

Requirements

• Proven leadership and strong people management skills
• Self-driven, results-oriented, hands-on
• 10+ years’ working experience at managerial role and 3+ years’ experience as a Financial controller
• Retail and FMCG business experience is a plus
• Strong US and China GAAP knowledge, tax knowledge is a plus
• Experience in use of major ERP such as SAP and Blackline
• Excellent English and Mandarin language required
