Scope:

The responsibility of this Senior Process Engineer is to lead Moldflow simulation activities to provide recommendations on design, material, process and tooling optimization for new projects and mass production products. This person will also provide onsite molding trial support for new tool tryouts to solve processing issues, and cumulate real processabilities of materials data to establish correlation with Moldflow simulation from early design phase to production launch. The Process Engineer will work in China R&D Material Team.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead Moldflow simulation activity for new part development

2. Work with project team/designers on processability evaluation, analyze Moldflow results to give proposals on part design, tooling design (gate, runners…) and processing optimization to improve part quality and process window

3. Support industrialization engineer on the tooling selection, DFM evaluation and new tooling qualification using theoretical calculation method

4. Analyze the problems during molding trials and provide improvement plan. Compare results of molding trails to simulation and revise analysis assumptions to correlated results

5. Technical support on tooling/processing optimization of mass production part by Moldflow analysis and on-site support.

6. Lead technical summary of similar products and typical products, compiling technical standards, design guidelines and related technical documents, deliver technical training in company

7. Attend company global community to contribute failure case analysis

Requirements:

1. Education: Master or above, mainly with major in mechanical design/Polymer material or other related. Strong knowledge/skills of engineering thermoplastics & thermosets, mold processing, tooling design and troubleshooting

2. 5 ~8 years‘working experience on using Moldflow software. Prefer with working experience with injection machine operations and processing parameters setup,

3. Skillful in other design software such as ProE, Solidwork, Ansys to build 3D model of parts.

4. Excellent English skills in speaking, writing, listening and reading.

5. Familiar with MS Office software including Word, Excel and Outlook

6. Demonstrated problem solving ability

7. Ability to work with cross-function teams and suppliers

8. Able to work independently and demonstrated inherent desire to learn and improve
