GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The (Senior) GC Market Compliance Specialist will have the responsibility to provide support for the GC IP Protection program, reporting to the GC Market Compliance Manager.

    

The ideal candidate has the capability to work in an international complex organization as part of a spread and multicultural Team.

    

He/she must achieve the strategy developed at the Corporate level to safeguard the brands understanding of Trademark/Patent laws arena as well as on/off line IP crimes and excellent investigative capability will be mandatory in order to understand violations and conduct successful complex investigations.

    

Good knowledge of internet and computer skills as well as good relationship skills will be required.

    

All the activities performed will have to be managed within the boundaries of local legislation.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:       

    

    

• Manage Customs IP Protection issues, including container interceptions, customs recordal and trainings;
• Communicate with external investigation firms to develop and manage investigations and raids;
• Support civil litigations and settlements;
• Maintain the database and tracking list of IP cases and produce reports/highlights;
• Provide the management and subsidiaries with reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing the activities;
• Interface with the IP on-line enforcement Team to address the actions based on the business concerns and local web based specific problems (marketplaces enforcement, on-line Trademark infringements, etc.);
• Review case reports, monthly highlights, and cross-check documents;
• Product verification and trainings to law enforcement agencies and business units;
• Regular vendor communication;
• Onsite support and audit to the vendors’ activities when needed;
• Coordinates with TRISTAR AP Team for the support in internal IP investigations.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:           

Skills/Qualifications: 

• 3+ years of experiences in IP protection;
• Strong problem-solving, time management and prioritization skills;
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, interruptive environment;
• Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work independently as well as work collaboratively toward a common goal;
• Possess and demonstrate excellent oral and written command of English;
• Advanced computer skills, with high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
