Role Summary/Purpose :

The Senior Image Quality Engineer will work as feature owner to cooperate with cross-functional team to deliver mobile C-arm X-ray products for the global market, this role will be responsible for Image chain hardware and image processing algorithm design.

Essential Responsibilities :

1. Design image processing architecture and algorithm, adjust and optimize the parameters to meet clinical requirement.

2. Define Xray exposure management strategy to get the balance of dose and image quality, work with generator design owner to implement X-ray control design.

3. Working with customers, marketing and field personnel to design and refine IQ related new features, and describing those features with technical requirement specification which can be follow by the design team.

4. Test and evaluate imaging components (FPD/Camera/Grid…), analyze test data to provide professional evaluation report.

5. Support MFG to define staging and calibration process, support IB and service team to resolve IQ related complaints and improve customer satisfaction.

6. Track and study latest technology in X-ray imaging and processing, involve in ATP(Advanced Technology Project) to introduce new algorithm and component into C-arm system, help to build technology advantage in surgery business.

Qualifications/Requirements :

1. Master degree in Image Processing, Biomedical Engineering, X-Ray Imaging, or closely related discipline

2. 5+ years relevant working experience

3. Good experience and design skill in image processing, signal processing, mathematical modeling.

4. Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems

5. Rich experience of using Matlab/C/C++ for algorithm implementation and simulation.

6. Excellent teamwork, coordination and communication skills

Desired Characteristics :

1. Rich design experience in medical imaging devices, especially in X-ray, CT, DSA product

2. PhD in Image Processing, Biomedical Engineering, X-Ray Imaging, or closely related discipline.

3. Effective oral and written English communication skills, global project experience will be plus.

4. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task 

5. Demonstrated technical leadership capability in integration activities.
