Key Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain the cloud architecture strategy for China under the guidance of the SCCoE Architecture Manager

· Develop overall technology architectural direction for the China SCCoE technology portfolio, define and maintain target state blueprints for security, application, data and technology architecture in that region

· Develop and implement cloud roadmap, architectural principles, standards, policies and solution governance for the China region

· Drive smarter technology investments by driving changes in cloud-related application, infrastructure, data and technology tools architecture in the China region

· Serve as point of escalation, review and approval for key issues and decisions for all cloud architecture domains in the China region

· Define, document and maintain the cloud domain reference architecture for the China region

· Analyse wider industry trends relating to cloud and encourage a best-in-class direction for the China region

· Develop the overall EA cloud roadmap to deliver the future state with the SCCoE Cloud Manager in the China region

· Define and maintain application cloud architecture standards required to operationalise business needs for a new service in the China region

· Ensure design at project/ programme level is aligned with all cloud architecture standards for deployments in the China region

· Ensure publication and communication of cloud architecture blueprints in the China region

· Manage support for project teams during the design phase of cloud-based architectures deployed in the China region

· Manage the co-development and implementation of cloud data-related architectures with the relevant internal stakeholders and the wider SCCoE Architecture team in the China region

· Manage the co-development and implementation of network architectures with the relevant internal stakeholders and the wider SCCoE Architecture team in the China region

· Maintain the data, security, application and technology architecture requirements for development and production cloud environments with the wider SCCoE Architecture team in the China region

· Collaborate with the demand management stream to provide cloud architecture implementation estimates for the China region

· Manage the co-development of relational and non-relational data models for global cloud usages with the wider SCCoE Architecture team in the China region

· Engage key stakeholders to identify key tools needed for the organisation to optimize cloud computing with the wider SCCoE Architecture team in the China region

· Manage and maintain the toolchain to be used by cloud operations to ensure they adhere to cloud architecture standards and guidelines with the wider SCCoE Architecture team in the China region

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to thrive and inspire in a team environment

· Certified and experience with enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF and Zachmann

· Relevant professional certifications: Cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure),

· Certified and experience Project management methodologies (PMBoK, PRINCE2, Agile), Dev/SecOps

· Technical writing experience

· 10 years’ experience as an IT Solutions Architect

· 3 years’ experience architecting IT solutions in cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Alicloud, Huawei
