Accountability
Key Performance Indicators
1. Master Data Strategy
§ Identify best practice master data solutions, systems, processes and procedures within our SAP platform and related systems.
§ Develop and execute the Master Data Strategy for the Luxottica Retail regions in scope
2. Master Data Plan
§ Develop and implement the Master Data Plan
§ Create and /or manage all of the critical master data capabilities, including tools, processes, technologies, training, roles and responsibilities, etc. to ensure forward progress.
§ Develop and implement the Master Data Governance Program ensuring compliance with the processes.
§ Provide recommendations and analysis on data architecture and processes to drive continuous improvement
§ Ensure SLA's are established with stakeholders and monitored regularly
§ Develop and manage a robust maintenance schedule to ensure optimal data integrity
§ Participate in adhoc projects as required by the business
3. Master Data Documentation
§ Create Master Data documentation guidelines
§ Ensure all documentation is captured, accessible and maintained.
4. Reporting
§ Develop and deliver dashboards and reports that describe the state of master data health across the business.
§ Pro-actively monitor and analyse all master data files for continuous improvements on the cleanliness of data.
5. Relationships
§ Play a major role in the change management of the master data strategy to ensure successful transition
§ Establish and own relationships with all "remote" users of the master data function
§ Work with application owners to integrate Master Data into their various workflows and systems.
§ Work with the IT team to assure that Master Data is leveraged appropriately in our data warehouses and data processing and provisioning platforms.
§ Own the relationships with external partners such as master data management solutions vendors, technology partners, subsidiaries, and technology vendors to bring the latest thinking into the company.
6. Team Management
§ Manage the Master Data team to ensure all data is captured accurately and in a timely manner.
7. WHS Responsibility
§ Ensure compliance with all responsibilities as per Luxottica's work health and safety (WHS) policies and procedures, as well as occupational health and safety, and rehabilitation legislation.
Formal qualifications/certification required
§ Bachelor Business or equivalent preferred
Years of experience required:
§ More than 8 years of experience with at least 5 years of data modelling experience and involvement in building a master data solution
§ Previous experience of design and implementation of best practice processes and technological environments
Knowledge & Skills required:
§ SAP experience
§ Master Data Management Architectures
§ Proven leadership, change management and influence skills.
§ Must have demonstrated not only an ability to lead and motivate a team of direct reports, but also the ability to drive change across a broader organization through influence.
§ Broad understanding of different technologies including master data management solutions
§ Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills are essential.
§ Excellent project management skills.
§ Data processing skills particularly Microsoft Excel and Access as well as strong overall computer skills are required
§ Strong capability to develop Master Data strategies and tactical solutions
What will be challenging in this role?
§ A blend of strategic and tactical accountabilities
§ Requirement to build / onboard the team, processes and systems and establish the foundation for this function to be driven out of China for a regional footprint of Luxottica
