Job Description
WuXi Genome Center is seeking a qualified Project Manager to join the current team setting at WuXi AppTec Shanghai location. The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize genomics projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members, senior management and consultant in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Responsibilities
Major responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
? Direct and manage genomics project development from beginning to end.
? Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management.
? Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
? Communicate project expectations to laboratory and bioinformatics team members in a timely and clear fashion.
? Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
? Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
? Plan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
? Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals and requirements documentations.
? Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
? Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crisis, and devise contingency plans.
? Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

Requirements
? BS/MS degree in biomedical sciences, chemical, engineering or computer sciences.
? Familiar with project management software, such as Microsoft Office Project.
? Familiar with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
? Knowledge of genomics service and analysis is desired but not required.
? Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
? Able to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
? Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
? Ability to communicate with team members, other departments and clients.
? Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
? Strong interpersonal skills.
? Highly organized and good attention to details.
? Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
? Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
