Job Description & Summary

Our Immigration Services team oversees all elements of immigration support for secondments, new hires and international transfers into PwC, and assists our employees traveling internationally with understanding and meeting the immigration requirements of other countries. You’ll be assisting the team with every aspect of international mobility such as temporary permit applications, citizenship and permanent residency applications, coordinated worldwide migration, immigration audits, and mobility policies.
Job Description & Responsibilities
The Global Mobility Officer (GMO) will support and work directly for one or more Global Mobility Consultant (GMC) to provide a professional global mobility (GM) service for international transferee, short term and long term deployed international assignee and cross border assignee between the mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.
The main roles and responsibilities are:
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of China region to answer enquiries and give advice on visa, benefit, tax, housing, living expense, operation process and compliance etc. Identify issues for solutions and support improvement of GM process;
Partner with Service Delivery Centre (SDC) and assist location team GM consultant in China region on mobility issues from relocation to repatriation to ensure daily operation, tax reporting smoothly & timely and accurate working with payroll/Finance as well as other needed departments;
Monitor internal and external vendors’ services in the region and escalate issues and propose solution to Operations manager;
Ensure GM data accuracy, internal database/shared drive updated, billing/costs accuracy and daily operations compliance in the region;
Provide backup coverage to GMC during vacation and other absences as appropriate;
Assist GM Operations Senior Manager on legal documents update in response to GM and/or local policy update;
Coordinate GM expense approval and billings;
Participate in global or local initiatives as required.
Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Commerce or Social Sciences;
Minimum 3-4 years’ work experience, preferably in HR, expatriate administration or taxation, gained within multinational organizations;
Good understanding of firm's services and the professional practice at local and global context;
Strong numeracy, analytical and spreadsheet skills with the ability to understand and explain complex concepts;
Good time management skills including the proven ability to independently prioritise work and multitask;
Flexible in working and able to tolerate uncertainty;
Strong team player with a collaborative approach;
Strong communication skills to interact with people at all levels and with diverse cultures;
Excellent command of written and spoken English;
Highly self-motivated and able to drive results while working in a virtual team environment;
Knowledge of local employment regulation, employee movements including foreign national and expatriate immigration issues, foreign tax compliance is preferred.
