Job Description & Responsibilities

1. Work closely with the Greater China tax director to achieve business objectives while assist to drive tax compliance and risk management;

2. Provide tax advisory to China business operations to ensure tax compliance and tax efficiency;

3. Provide innovative tax incentive/saving ideas, technical support and analysis for tax incentive/saving ideas and support the implementation of the different incentive/saving plans;

4. Assist to formulate/modify tax strategies and implement efficient tax structure for transactions (including acquisitions and dispositions, restructuring, various business initiatives);

5. Assist to optimize the tax operations/process/tools in Greater China and develop and maintain digital tax tools to achieve tax automation in both tax compliance and tax risk management/control;

6. Assist to communicate with tax authorities on audit and other tax queries;

7. Communicate with businesses, maintain good relationships and be a good business partner and effectively partner with other functions and businesses to dive tax objectives; and

8. Be a pro-active team player within the Greater China tax team and have a flexible attitude as the team further expands to take on additional roles and responsibilities.

• A recognized degree, degree in tax or accounting in which tax was a key component or the equivalent formal education is required
• 8 – 12 years’ relevant experience in China and international tax advisory/compliance work
• Practice experience in both CPA firm and in-house is preferred
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Experience or knowledge in finance/tax IT projects is preferred
• Confidence with a strong business sense
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and organizational skills
• Good project management skills

• CPA or CTA qualification is preferred
