The Brand Labeling Purchaser operates simultaneously within the below three dimensions :

o Offer creation - OCP: Project buyer for certain BL projects (BLMP)

o Fulfillment - OFP: Full Supplier Leader responsibilities : 7 axes, including year-on-year productivity

o Supplier market intelligence: 1) in a "commodity management" spirit, for certain product lines 2) in cooperation with SE Marketing teams

Main interfaces and stake-holders

o Direct management reporting line to Purchasing GSC/BU group manager based in Shanghai

o Virtual Factory and other operational fulfillment centers

o Marketing Offer Managers

o BU R&D product line Managers

PURCHASING SKILLS

· Purchasing cross competencies

o Fluent Mandarin and English, fluent Japanese is a big plus

o Supplier negotiation in a complex environment : single sourcing, competitors

o RFQ management and Sourcing/TCO analyses

o Contract negotiation : development agreement, supply agreement

o Should cost : investment depreciation, manufacturing capacity utilization, overheads, etc.

o Risk assessment, including Finance (z-score) assessment

o Promotion of supplier innovation, early supplier involvement, co-development

o Tools : SAP and/or local ERPs, PRISM, OTTO, XL and PowerPoint

· Other competencies, OFP and Commodity Management

o Supplier relationship management : past "SSL-like" experience

o Knowledge of certain markets and technologies

· Knowledge of PCBA should cost and tier2 BOM competitiveness analysis is a big plus

o Market analysis

· Will be asked to screen supplier markets for certain technologies and to build SOCs

o Productivity budgeting

· Other competencies, OCP

o OTM, PMP and PEP knowledge

o Basic knowledge of diverse commodity markets

o Supplier management in OCP mode

o Samples and tools procurement

o Tools : MSTT

o Ability to understand who to involve depending on the issue at stake

· Structured / organized person

· Common sense and business acumen

· Cross cultural awareness : Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Western, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED

· Master's degree in International Business / MBA, or in Engineering, or in Supply Chain, or equivalent

· Minimum 5 years of experience in a purchasing team of a multinational corporation, including a successful 3-year in a "lead buyer" position : e.g. SSL, PPL, RCM, Solutions Buyer

KNOWLEDGE – DESIRED

· Knowledge of Partner Projects and Energy Connected Products offers

· Electrical / electro-technical basics or intermediate knowledge
