Essential Responsibilities
• Responsible for manufacturing system software design (testing system, database, industrial internet, brilliant factory…), implementation and verification.
• Engaging in all phases of new product introduction and process development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support.
• Perform new software system design, existing system simplification and upgrade, system maintenance, software system trouble-shooting.
• Use advanced design methodology and analysis skills (six-sigma…) to solve technical problems to achieve product and process excellence.
• Validating software system performance
• Participate in new product introductions through software develop, equipment/tool development, and process development.
• Driving LEAN manufacturing implementation
Role Summary/Purpose
This position provides software design for high-tech manufacturing system. The position works to identify and execute strategic software engineering to deliver excellent production system/tester /product to customer with great efficiency and quality. This role requires the interaction with product design engineering team and operation team to ensure the product quality and productivity goals.
Qualifications/Requirements
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
4. Ensure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Outputs/Program Deliverables
5. Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives
Desired Characteristics
1. BS or above in software engineering/Computer science and technology or equivalent experience
2. 2+ years engineering experience in a related field
3. Excellent ability and experience with program coding by C++, Java, Python etc.
4. Strong knowledge of database setup/embedded system develop
5. Basic knowledge in industrial interfaces, such as CAN, Ethernet, wireless, etc.
6. Good Communications in written and spoken English
