Position Summary
Provide day to day direction and leadership in all aspects of MV marketing commercial and technical support to achieve continued growth, profitability and strategic objectives for Medium Voltage Products within APR.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for achieving the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for both orders and shipments within the defined geography. Manage and support the day-to-day commercial and technical presales activities of MV products.
- Quotation tracking as well as Win/loss analysis from day-to-day commercial activities, in order to closely tracking market condition/trend.
- Continue to enhance field coverage as well focus on ease of doing business and non-project quotation support. Coordinate with Projects group support as required.
- Maintain Global database accuracy, produce on a weekly basis, a rolling forecast, by major product lines.
- Responsible for directing activities for the assigned group, involving contract negotiations & administration, maintenance & analysis of Terms & Conditions, meeting Rockwell ethical standards, complying with legal obligations and safety requirements, meeting local code and tariff mandates, and environmental requirements in the global markets in which we participate.
- Communicate competitive activities, and provide input to gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Market Situational Analysis.
- Coordinate with Line Manager and Business units, pricing negotiation strategy tactics, selection of target accounts, target markets and associated channels to market.
- Ensure optimal performance for the sale of Medium Voltage products (i.e. sales quotas, sales/ personnel performance, cross-functional and sales training, motivating of sales and personnel.
- Create a positive environment of close cooperation and teaming between the various departments and business units and other stake holders within Rockwell Automation and Partners
- General and coordinate the dissemination of information, strategies and specifications to ensure the effective development of marketing programs, product launches.
- Provide an ongoing program for the professional development and self-improvement of the assigned team personnel.
- Coordinate with internal and external parties. Process improvements etc. To meet the needs of the customer, business units and Rockwell profitability.
- Responsible for coordinating and establishing Quota numbers and monthly statistics and reports as required.
- Supporting IPP initiative from MV perspective, involved in building relationships with 3rd party suppliers with the goal, to increase product sales.
Other duties as required
Requirements
Engineering Degree. MBA or post graduate studies highly regarded.
Minimum 10 years of sales, marketing experience is highly desirable. Must have demonstrated strong commercial and technical judgment, proven leadership skills in a dynamic and multi-tasking environment with heavy emphasis on building working relationships.
