Primary Purpose
As Area VM, the person in this position will take full responsibility for the responsible retail stores and outlets in the Area, by driving the Stuart Weitzman Brand Visual Merchandising Standard and to support the business needs, support activities and events in retail stores and outlets within China. Meanwhile, support the new store opening in the Area.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Merchandise Standard Implementation
· Understand and provide local input to Global and China Visual Merchandising standard;
· Communicates consistent brand VM standard to the Retail Team
· Insure VM Standard are well implement in all New Stores
· Train store management teams on current visual standards and monthly guideline presentation.
Visual Merchandise Execution
· Schedule and Conduct Area VM Training with Multi Managers/ In Store VM Coordinators for on-going VM training.
· Train and lead Store Management team/ In Store VM Coordinator on how to interpret monthly guidelines and communicate consistent merchandising direction on Brand standards.
· Participate and assist stores in planning, mapping and merchandising monthly floor sets.
· Sensitive on the VM Implementation in stores, on the effectiveness of driving business, understanding the stores business and top sellers to make informed and educated decisions.
· Support Senior VM Manager/ Area Managers to approve monthly installations in addition to In-Season changes to ensure tiered store locations are consistent throughout the year.
Communication
· Effectively manages travel schedule, with around 50% travel to stores to ensure floor set execution and Brand standards are maintained.
· Manage monthly floor sets at Key locations, map out merchandising floor plans, coordinates window installations, and works with outside vendor (as necessary).
· Support/train stores to interpret Visual Guidelines and conduct VM Audit.
· Maintains open communication with Area Manager in regards to current information that supports the Field. Provided feedback relating to product presentations, any challenges and needs of the business thru the VM Audit.
· Able to Lead and facilitate new store opening
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
3-5 years of Visual Merchandising experience
Diploma – BA Degree Preferred
Experience with a Luxury Brand is desirable;
Good Visual Merchandising Skills with the ability to interpret visual merchandising presentations and translate back to individual store environment/ architecture
Ability to lead, manage, train and motivate SM and In-store VM
Strong attention to details (e.g., VM standards, marketing, lighting, fixturing, windows etc)
Ability and willingness to travel with in China
Fluent spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin), Good English is a plus.
