About the role and responsibilities:
This role is responsible for business development in Automotive vertical.
New Business Development
This position will be responsible for managing and personally contributing to all new business development related activities.
These activities are:
_ Drive new business prospecting through the existing sales resources within each region
_ Manage qualification of new business opportunities relating from prospecting within each region
_ Facilitate sales calls on prospects through existing sales resources within each region
_ Participate in and drive the quality of sales calls to generate opportunities within which UTi can participate
_ Create and maintain a new business pipeline
_ Coordinate and supervise the sales process activities of new business opportunities where the Auto sales is involved
_ Communicate cross-regional new business opportunities between all China offices across multiregional clients
_ Manage and cooperate on all new business growth activities with the China automotive DCS.
Business Retention and Growth
This position will be responsible maintaining existing automotive client base and ensure that current client revenue grows through identifying and taking advantage of new initiatives with clients.
These activities are:
_ Identify, build and maintain a database of the existing clients.
_ Establish the client management processes employed by each region
_ Introduce automotive specific client management processes with key existing clients
_ Identify and qualify existing clients with whom additional opportunities exists
_ Create and maintain an existing business growth pipeline
_ Interface with global DCS'/DAS'/MCS'/MAS' when business growth opportunities are presented with existing clients
_ Manage and report on all existing business growth activities to the China automotive vertical leader.
Job Requirements:
_ English language fluency
_ Local Chinese Person
_ Commercial or Engineering Graduate
_ Minimum 5 years working experience
_ Business Development experience
_ First management exposure
_ Logistics background (FF and/or CL)
_ Exposure to Automotive
_ International exposure preferable
_ Multi language is a bonus
_ Good skill on MS Office-word, excel, PowerPoint, project, visio etc is a must.
