职位描述
Job Purpose and Scope:
1. Overall: The Director of Projects combines technical knowledge with sales skills to effect the satisfaction of the customer/prospect. The emphasis of the work and technical knowledge shall parallel the need to competently sell and support the project and/or service offered.
2. Tendering: He makes sure that the QCD targets fixed during the tendering stage are improved during the project operation, ensures technical bidding documents to be submitted on time with high quality and correct cost evaluation in FCA.
3. Technical Support: He makes sure that the existing PM’ tools and rules within the PD&G division are well shared and used by the PMs.
4. He is accountable for:
- The deployment of standard methodologies within the Entity
- The deployment of standard tools, organizations and indicators within the Entity
- Leadership and mentoring of the Project Management function within the Entity
- Development of the Project Management function within the Entity
5. Coach and Manager: Mobil worker within the Business Entity for his geographical are responsibility, he actively and regularly helps the PM’s to grow inside their functions to become more demanding, result & customer oriented.
6. Increase efficiency: He improves the QCD project & contract performance and implements an early warning system in order to anticipate and mitigate upcoming risks and issues,
Decrease our engineering costs by challenging and assisting our CoCs in properly structuring and narrowing our proposals and associated engineering.
Optimise TMC by challenging the proper management in the aspects of design, material specification, process, manufacture productivity, purchasing cost & quantity, scheduling, quality cost, packing and delivery.
7. : He seeks for the new opportunity to generate the variation order together with sales and marketing team.
8. Customer focus: Ensure excellent customer relationship at the project management level. Support the PM in charge in front of the customer when difficulties.
9. Develop and manage dedicated action plans with local PD and PM to meet better growth and profitability.
10. Site resident manager direct management: He makes sure that the resident sit manager shall carry out the work of installation, testing & commissioning and Defective liability period according to the company installation, T&C and DLP methodology.
11. Site safety supervisor direct management: He makes sure that the site safety supervisor shall carry out the site safety supervision of the work during the installation, testing & commissioning and Defective liability period according to the client site safety requirement and relevant safety regulation defined by government body.
12. Site installation manager direct management: He makes sure that the site installation manager shall carry out the installation management, monitoring and supervision during installation, testing & commissioning according to the technical requirement and installation methodology document defined by the client, FTMT design team and to follow the relevant national site installation regulation and standard.
13. Tender team direct management: He makes sure that the tender team shall carry out the tender prequalification, tender registration, tender document submission, tender Q&A clarification during tendering process, in accordance with the tender process defined by the tender organization, and also be responsible to assign the appropriate staff and to direct mange the staff to follow up tender QCD.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Overall:
Lead and Drive the Project(s) and control through the PD&G division units and FTCN including:
- Profitability vs approved budget
- CC and CM
- Opportunities
- Project Cash Flow
- Overdue
- Risk mitigation
- QCD objectives and process follow-up
- People (PM and LPC, single or multi sites)
2) Tenders:
- Ensure PMs are actively participating during PD&G Tendering and Bid process
- be responsible for the preparation of technical bidding documents and project cost calculation (FCA)
3) Project Reviews:
- Participate to unit/unit PD&G sales and order intake budget regarding contract contribution and contract margin
- Participation of the project reviews of those export projects, in which SISCOs are the leading unit
- Lead the quarterly project reviews for those projects, in which FTMT is the leading Entity. Schedule and supervise the quarterly project review sessions.
- Audits the level and quality of the project management process at Entity level
- Propose and monitor the improvement action plan when needed
4) Interface with Customers:
- Ensure a presence during Project life time
- Support the PM during customer project review when necessary or on request
- Building up and maintain customer relationship at project management level.
6) Quality:
- Ensure the level of the PD&G projects Non Quality Cost is under the PD&G objective
7) Moving Forward Project:
- As PD&G division representative, lead the interface with Moving Forward PM to ensure PD&G specific requests are taking into account in the future business model and supporting tools
8) People:
- Participate to PMs recruitment process in FTMT
- Participate to nominate the PM/LPC in FTMT
- Participate to all LPCs, PMs and PDs annual appraisal in FTMT
- Participate to PM and LPC bonus incentive and reward in FTMT
Work Experience Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a PM and Management role.
· Sales and Projects Management of sophisticated technical projects & services in the industry / buildinf construction sector
· Team building and Management
· Int’l business experience in multi cultured organisations and customers
Specific Knowledge:
· Expert in PM and associated support tools (scheduler, cost control, etc.)
· Solid understanding of contract management in engineering product business
· Solid understanding of manufacturing processes (Supply Chain Management)
· Strong understanding of engineering disciplines
· Strong understanding of cost control and finance (WIP, risk analysis, opportunity)
· Commercial ability and understanding of business environment of customers
· Strong leadership skills
· Commercial ability and understanding of business environment of customers.
Business understanding and skills:
· Sales & Tender processes;
· Understanding customer’s strategy & needs;
· Communication of strategy and direction;
· Organizational structure / behaviour.
Education Requirements:
1. Engineering Degree B.S Engineering and/or similar in experience, Master in science / business and/or similar in experience is a plus;
2. Languages: English is mandatory (French is an advantage), Spanish and/or German is a plus.
Other Requirements:
1. Strong communication abilities;
2. Project and Customer oriented is a must;
3. Strong negotiation abilities.
