MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, organize Data Centre operational activities
• Develop, implement and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Maintenance Operating Procedures (MOPs), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), emergency response plans, and other policies and procedures as required
• Plan maintenance schedule. Manage subcontractors’ service and repair work. Ensure all accounts and documentation associated with subcontractors is updated
• Manage and implement change process, assess risk of change activity
• Provide technical support for emergency issues and root cause analysis reporting
• Organize relevant training and drills for the operation and maintenance personnel
• Assist to negotiate with 3rd party suppliers on service contracts
• Manage and deliver retrofit work and minor project works, as required, within the data centre
• Responsible for optimization of data center efficiency and costs reduction
• Prepare and submit regular technical and client reports
• Continuous optimization and improvement of data center critical infrastructure. Improve PUE and achieve green operation of data center
• Ensure health and safety policy and procedures are effectively implemented and regularly reviewed
• Ensure data center is compliant with regulations and standards. Assist internal and external audit
• Manage other tasks as might be assigned by management

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of facilities operation experience in medium to large data center,
• In depth knowledge and experience of key technology areas in electrical systems in critical infrastructure, such as HT/LT, Generator, UPS and battery,
• In experience of enterprise facilities management processes and procedures.
• Experience in managing ISO or relevant audit processes and documentation
• In depth knowledge and experience in data centre critical electrical functionality and basic HVAC knowledge which are including but not limited to the below list:
• Power basics which is including sizing critical load, size of the required cooling equipment, size of the required power equipment
• Understand the Uptime Tier level and redundancy concept
• In depth knowledge of power distribution in data centre
• Understand the difference between each power of source at critical facility
• Be aware for the data centre metrics and how to improve the PUE of data centre design.
• Understand the calculation of power capacity and experience of cooling capacity plan
• Power solution and efficiency criteria
• Managing the project implementation and its proper sequence
• Building monitoring management system
• Fire detection and suppression system
• Water detections system
• Physical security system concept
• Basic network knowledge and ICT cabling management
• CAD or other drawing skill
• Fluent in both written and oral English and Mandarin
• Excellent knowledge and skills in using MS Office applications
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Master or BE/BS degree in electrical
• Prefer CDCS, CDCP and equivalent datacentre certificate holder
• Prefer HV/LV Trained engineer with relevant certificate
• Excellent knowledge and skills in using MS Office applications
