Overall Purpose


The role of the GSD Local Team Leaders is to:


Oversee the day to day operations of the Global Service Desk in a given location
Ensure that all support escalations are dealt with
Carry out Quality Control checks and manage a pool of resources
Participate in GSD activities



Key Responsibilities

Provide local leadership to a section of the GSD in accordance with the global procedures
Ensure that internal IT escalation processes are adhered to and followed for any service/support issue.
Deal with administration tasks such as change in shifts, absence recording and holiday requests in cooperation with the Global Team Leaders
Production of weekly and monthly reports as well as carrying out QC processes as agreed with and documented by the IT management
Prioritising the workload of the local Service Desk and Administration functions
Ensure continued procedure documentation and review process as well as dissemination of knowledge
Spend 25 to 50% of their time on the GSD to remain current, maintain the critical mass and expertise required to deliver exceptional service (include a shared weekend shift pattern)
Participate in weekly service review meeting with the global team
Undertake specific tasks and one off projects for the IT Service Manager

A minimum of 5 GCSE's or equivalent
