Key Responsibilities

· Take responsibility to improve MCC electrical design quality and action as main designing checker.

· Implementation of orders design / production, including specification review, drawing creation, Bill-of-Material generation, and schedule coordination

· The Application Engineer will review customer specifications and drawings (one-lines, elevations and schematics), for correctness and completeness and resolve discrepancies

· The Application Engineer is responsible for preparing a complete bill of material, which satisfies the order requirements

· Develop the necessary electrical schematics and instruction for drafting

· Provide technical assistance to internal/external customers

· The Application Engineer is responsible for verifying that the Customer’s purchase order, commercial terms and conditions, price sheets and quotation (if applicable), is included with the order. If not, the Application Engineer will contact the appropriate Sales Office Personnel to obtain the necessary information and documentation

· If customer approvals are required, the Application Engineer/Engineering Analyst will arrange to have the appropriate drawings made available to the customer for review and approval

· Provide assistance to the manufacturing operation as required. This includes the following: Technical assistance to the assembly and test personnel at Richland Center. Meet with customer engineering personnel for final inspection or witness test

· Provide the customer with the required documentation package

· Provide field assistance whenever required to insure customer satisfaction

· Provide assistance and coordination with Expeditor and Manager or Supervisor

· Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network

· Take leader for order transfer from commercial engineer or sales. Accomplish project plan once get order. Role as a project leader to handle kick off meeting with related department according to project schedule. Hold project meeting by weekly with related department. Tracking project process, make sure the project delivery will match margin, delivery date and quality requirement compare with as sold proposal or order.

· Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations (state regulations, ISO 9000, ISO 14000, etc) as well as Rockwell Automation code of conduct and other corporate policies and procedures.

Job related competencies

(Critical competencies required for the position under each of the below 4 dimensions)

· Intermediate level of expertise in Integrated Architecture, Standard Drives, Intelligent Motor Control, Safety Product, MES / Information Systems, Component Industry Control, Networks, System Solutions.

· Intermediate level of expertise in Industry Knowledge, Application Knowledge, Training Skills, and basic understanding of Project Management, Lean Six Sigma Skill, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety).

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE

(Education, qualifications and experience requirements an employee must have)

· B.S. Electrical Engineering Degree or related degree.

· At least 5 years’ experience on electrical engineering design

· Be familiar with MCC manufacture or application

· Project management experience will be prefer

· Fluent in English (written and spoken),

· Independent,

· Self-motivated.
