Job Function

1. Use GIT to sync code from server, be familiar with git commands.

2. Be familiar with makefile, building, compiling, loading, executing and debugging images.

3. Writing scripts to test the Display functions.

4. Enable Display functions on new Qualcomm chipsets in close coordination with the various internal/international technology teams.

5. This is a very challenging position that requires the candidate to learn and internalize QCT software and operation concepts very quickly.

6. Develop drivers of new Display modules on Qualcomm chipsets with good stability and quality delivery.

Skills/Experience

1. Strong C programming skills.

2. Experienced with embedded systems including compiling, loading, executing and debugging images.

3. Familiar with Linux kernel and driver.

4. Familiar with Display technology and Android frame buffer, overlay, framework, different display interface and technologies, HDMI ,MIPI DSI, , eDP.

5. Must have good communication skills and be a team player. Good written and verbal English skills is a plus.

6. The experience working on Qualcomm platforms is a plus

7. The ability to learn quickly with high motivation

Responsibilities

1. Bringup, debug and improve the performance of existing display driver for product lines.

2. Analyze phone logs to identify problems and develop investigation strategies.

3. Apply display driver and gamma tuning knowledge to develop, help panel vendor to solve panel/gamma related problems.

4. Follow established software processes and procedures, and contribute towards ever improving software quality.

5. Debug custom-chip hardware issues using oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzer, Trance32 tools, etc.

6. Coordinate with internal/international technology teams about issue fixes and solutions

Education Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; Masters degree preferred.
