*Typically requires BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, in board and system-level hardware design, schematic capture, PCB layout, or Equivalent experience combined with at least 10+ years of hands-on experience in industry with Electrical systems, IP or mobile phone related experience is a plus. 

*Solid understanding of RF hardware and system design. Some HW system design experience is preferred.

*Understanding of EM and antenna theory inside portable wireless devices is a plus, including proper grounding, isolation, and desense mitigation techniques

*Working knowledge of power and signal integrity simulation and measurement techniques, and real-world experience in driving correlation between the two domains.

*Solid understanding of RF hardware and system design. Some HW system design experience is preferred.

*Understanding of EM and antenna theory inside portable wireless devices is a plus, including proper grounding, isolation, and desense mitigation techniques

*Experience with RF lab equipment including spectrum analyzer, power meter, network analyzer,?vector signal generator/analyzer, oscilloscope, cellular box, and/or WiFi/BT/DECT emulator.

*Experience with performing sensitivity / RvR tests in both conducted and radiated environments

*Basic software skills in Python, Perl, C/C++ are a plus.

*Able to perform hands-on disassembly and make experimental modifications to intricate hardware

* Effective communication skills working with cross-functional HW, SW, and architecture teams. Mentoring and training for junior engineers.

*Ability to create organized documentation for hardware designs, test plans, and validation results.

*Must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable interacting with across functional team in different time zones within Cisco.  Must speak fluent English. Good Team-work spirit.

*Effective communication skills working with cross-functional HW, SW, and architecture teams. Mentoring and training for junior engineers.

*Candidate must be detail oriented and have passion for doing excellent work in the presence of ambiguous requirements.
