JOB DESCRIPTION

– EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proven skills in software design with a flair for designing with real users in mind, from initial concepts and storyboards to software design/implementation/testing
• Translating business and technical requirements into detailed design specifications for application code and modules.
• Making moderate to complex modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with written specifications and application standards.
• Developing software application modules by following disciplined software development processes.
• Participating in project planning sessions with team members to analyze requirements.
• Providing design recommendations, developing and integrating programs per written specifications.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

– TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• 3~6 years of hands on experience with JavaEE related technologies e.g. Spring, XML/JSON, JDBC, Web Service and MVC frameworks.
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL), SQL Language and ORM technologies (e.g. JPA, Hibernate, MyBatis)
• Good understanding of software engineering principles and object-oriented design
• Familiar with frontend technologies, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript
• Learned 1~2 popular JS frameworks, JQuery, AngularJs, React, Vue, Polymer etc.
• Hands on experience in Unit Testing and CI env.
• Familiar with version control system GIT.
• Good English reading/writing capability is required
• Financial Market Industry product design is a big plus

- EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• 3~6 years working experience in software development projects
• Quick learner
• Self-motivated and good teamwork spirit
• Passion on frontend design and development
• Curious about new technologies and tools, creative thinking and initiative taking
• Good demo and presentation skills
• Enthusiastic & pro-active, process oriented
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with high stress tolerance and potentially overtime with advance notice from management.
• Optimistic, and open-minded.
