Transition Manager
Formal qualifications:
- A degree in engineering, economics, Finance, Information Technology/Services (or equivalent combination education or experience).
- PMI Certification (PMP) Project Management Professional will be advantageous
Experience:
- At-least 5 years direct experience in the Facility Management Outsourcing Industry
- Experience in (A) is a must and one or more of the functions (B – G)
A. Facility Operations and Maintenance (Hard and Soft Services)
B. Human Resources
C. Procurement
D. Finance and Accounting
E. Customer Relationship Management at all levels of the Customer’s organization. The role has a major customer facing component and will be instrumental in forming the customer's impression of the ISS’s capability to deliver.
F. Basic FMIS implementation knowledge.
G. Contract Management
- 4-5 years of Program/Project management in complex environments
Key Duties
- The Transition Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of complex, multi-processes, large transition projects that will enable ISS’s customers to migrate their facility operations without any disruption from the current non-outsourced state to the outsourced state of operations after “Go-Live”
- Apply his/her experience and project management skills to manage the projects successfully and deliver solutions to the customers by:
- Developing the Transition Project Plan and Timelines
- Monitoring and controlling the Transition Process
- Overall customer handling, escalating major transition issues, when required to the respective directors.
- Ongoing team leadership and coaching
- Liaise with Customers to understand their needs and map processes.
- Consult with the Business Development Team during th development phase of the project proposal to the customer by:
- Providing expertise to evaluate the total transition effort and strategy
- Ensuring that all transition Project Plans are consistent and integrated with the overall out-sourcing Program.
- Provides leadership across the all functions (local project managers, operations, HR, process and IT) etc. involved in the project. In addition
- Is the Project Lead, owns the project plan.
- Coordinates/ facilitates transition (planning, sign-off, team meetings, escalations)
- Acts as a consultant for Best Practices
- Ensures transition model is implemented 、Publishes project documentation
- Communicates to stakeholders and the steering committee (if any)
- Achieve a high level of customer satisfaction by demonstrating high level of expertise about
- Facility Management Operations structure,
- processes and activities e.g. (IT(FMIS) support, SLA, SOW,
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Explain the transition approach to the project and operations teams.
- Take and give input for fine tuning and improving transition model.
- Designing Process Transition Plans that includes capacity planning, allocation and phased ramp-up of FTEs to facilitate transition of processes to the customer’s facility with minimal risk.
- Manage all task associated with initiating, planning scheduling, executing and controlling the transition project. ? Understand the significance of the service to be delivered and subsequently migrate the core process.
- Formulate a site specific business development plan beneficial in terms of organic growth of SOW .
- Liaise between the senior management and clients by planning, organizing, directing, and implementing control measures for smooth process experience.
- Monitor and track the transition budget for each project. ? Ensure that the appropriate level of support is available to the operation team and their clients
- Creates and maintains project issue log to track issues and ensure timely resolution. Responsible for project communication specific to steering committee, stakeholders, project team member, external resources and senior management.
- Facilitate and moderate project meetings including but not limited to project kickoffs, team progress and issue resolution, leadership update, project close out and best practices and core team meetings. ? Stabilize the process and hand over to the operations.
