Position: Cost & AR Accountant

Overall Purpose:

l The Cost & AR Financial Accountant undertakes cost accounting analysis and controlling credit and collection activities to ensure an acceptable level of risk is maintained, repayments are made on time, losses are kept to a minimum, and monies collected in a timely manner.

l Assist in Treasury activities of the company to achieve short and long term business objectives. In addition, prepares and analyses cost & AR accounting reports to ensure timely, relevant, compliant and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities:

l Monthly cost update into the SAP (RM & FG).

l Compile cost data for use in developing operating budgets. Prepare cost estimates and study economics of projects.

l Develop and improve methods of calculating and controlling costs.

l Review product-manufacturing costs and analyses unit costs of Finished Goods against cost estimates.

l Prepare cost analysis for use in supporting Sales and Marketing objectives.

l Undertake studies to determine contribution of various products and customers to assist in assessment of production plans and product pricing.

l Compile and apply historical or projective data i.e. the analysis of operating performance or potential revenue and costs.

l Maintain/ensure material master file is accurate.

l Investigate credit standing of new customers and review existing customers.

l Follow up collection of accounts in accordance with terms. Maintain debtor’s ledger to ensure it accurately reflects the position of each credit account.

l Ensure specific measures are taken where unacceptable overdue accounts exist.

l Monitor and regularly review the level of arrears and ensure adequate collection action is taken where appropriate.

l Prepare regular reports on the status of debtors.

l Assist the audit for the requirement.

l Account Reconciliations.

l Assist in other relevant functions as directed by Financial Manager that meets the company objectives.

Requirements:

l Experience with SAP applications preferred.

l Bachelor Degree or above and with good related working experience.

l Attention to detail and accuracy, Deadline-Oriented

l Good finance understanding and flexibility to have job rotation within Finance function.
