Essential responsibilities and duties
The Costing Engineer is in charge of securing the implementation of program costing basics, providing a consolidated view of costing activities.
It will be a big advantage if candidate has know-how about sewing, cutting, foaming or extrusion molding.

The main missions of the role are:
Provide reliability of costing datas at each phases independently, and to all internal customers (program managers, site managers, sales/purchasing managers) of the division
Complete costing BOM during acquisition phase; focus on material cost (BOP), evaluate process cost also
Support design to cost activities & provide recommendation to improve profitability
o Set cost targets for new & modified purchased components (piece price and tooling cost)
Evaluate ECR cost assessment during program phase
o Provide support during supplier negotiations through analysis of supplier’s price breakdown detail and/or “should cost” analysis
Serial life (VA/VE activities)
Ensure program costing procedures are implemented and followed
Ensure that costing procedure are implemented, and tools used
? Provide costing risk/opportunities analysis to the management of the division and per program
Others
Supplier audit
Involve in special costing project when required
Compliance to Code of Ethics and Code of Management

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Minimum education level: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Associate's degree in engineering/Diploma, with a specialization in Production


Experience:
Minimum 3/5 years’ experience in an industrial environment including a first technical experience (production, manufacturing engineering,…)
