Developing strategic partners is one of the key initiatives of Rockwell Automation in providing seamless joint solutions that can bring our customers the strongest technological, competitive and strategic advantages.
This initiative could involve “co-investment” with system integrators to gain market access, supply and service support, and to penetrate into untapped segments, e.g., life science. It may also involve M&A coordination
· Support Partnership Development Manager to identify strategic partners in China, including:
Ø Desktop study, company profiling
Ø Define criteria to screen potential strategic partners
Ø Pitch potential strategic partners, setting up initial contact and to test willingness for cooperation
· Support Partner Development Manager to work with business units and sales team to prepare value proposition approach and contact plan for the identified strategic partners;
· Drive local sales teams on the actual development of the relationships helping to build and strengthen new/existing relationships, including organizing regular review cadence and tracking key actions items;
· Support Partner Development Manager in maintaining strategic partner pipeline and relevant documentation;
· Other tasks assigned by Partner Development Manager.
KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
· Business Development experience and Distributor/Value Added Reseller/System Integrator exposure.
· Deep expertise in data management and warehousing (MS Excel, MS Access,)
· Strong project management and quantitative skills.
· Building Financial Models for greenfield, JV and M&A projects
Job related competencies
> 5 years’ experience in Key Account Management, Strategic Marketing or Corporate Development. Automation related industry knowledge as a plus.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE
(Education, qualifications and experience requirements an employee must have)
Business or Technical master degree required; a M.B.A degree is considered a plus. High energy and enthusiasm to work independently and in a matrix environment. Good communication skills. Strong project management and quantitative skills.
