Purpose
 
Air Products’ Caojing Manufacturing Facility is the company’s Centre of Excellence for the manufacture of cryogenic Air Separation Units (ASU) and associated equipment.
 
The incumbent is accountable for performing vessel design and manufacturing technical support at the Manufacturing Facility, extending to aspects of the engineering design remote from the site where appropriate to the interfaces.
 
Nature and Scope
.
The factory produces a range of cryogenic equipment for air separation plants. The products are specific to customer requirements and are only produced on receipt of firm orders from the Business Area. Average annual project portfolio is $600-850MM.
 
The job holder will be assigned to performance piping design and engineering work for all AP Caojing executed projects. This position will require relative level of engineer who is able to perform the required piping design responsibilities and provide proper judgment in reviewing third parties’ piping design documents and drawings. He/she will be also expected to provide piping design and fabrication / construction material estimation in supporting to PDE. Performing cryogenic piping design is the major responsibility of this role.
 
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
 
 
1.Meet corporate and global manufacturing personnel and process safety goals.
2. Manage and perform various aspects of piping design including piping arrangement drawing, isometric drawing, piping list, BOM preparation, piping support drawing piping insulation standard etc.
3.Coordinate ad communicate technical issue among various groups including US and UK.
4.Review and feedback piping basic and detail design drawing and spec completed by 3rd party or vendor.
5.Understanding AP piping engineering standard, spec, international industry piping engineering codes and local codes.
6.Conduct cryogenic piping engineering and detail design work for assigned projects.
7.Support on manufactory and site piping work for technical issue and provide resolution suggestion.
8.Performance cold box inspection.
9.Support project proposal estimation, project execution, manufacture QA/QC, as built drawing. Initiate piping design changes as necessary.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
   
 
1.At least BS in mechanical Engineering.
2.6+ years’ experiences on piping design
3.Detail knowledge of ASME B31.3 and China GB piping / fitting and valve standards.
4.Basic understanding of machinery external load constraints /design criteria.
5.Familiar with piping testing, cleaning, and commissioning knowledge.
6.Know piping design criteria for equipment and piping layout.
7.Be familiar with PDS/Microstation/SP3D design skill.
8.Skillful in Office Software.
9.Fluent spoken and written Chinese and English
10.Good communication and networking skills
