DISTRICT ASSET PROTECTION MANAGER
The District Asset Protection Manager is responsible for the management and maintenance of the Asset Protection programs and initiatives in a select market, store or group of stores. The DAPM is charged with improving operational execution and shrink performance by teaching company processes and enforcing policies and procedures. The DAPM is responsible for initiating and managing the investigation of dishonest activity from both internal and external sources. The DAPM is also responsible for the management of store level physical security and associate safety programs.

Must possess the ability to:

? Assist in the interview, selection, training and development of Asset Protection associates.
? Manage day to day store Asset Protection operations and associates.
? Manage the contract guard service's duties and responsibilities.
? Provide Asset Protection training and awareness to store team.
? Actively participates and partners with store leadership team on inventory shortage reduction program.
? Work collaboratively and productively with others to achieve shared goals.
? Provide clear direction and leadership.
? Perform store assessments and inspections & make recommendations to correct deficiencies.
? Ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
? Initiate appropriate strategies to meet or exceed shrink goals.
? Conduct interviews with suspected dishonest associates, when appropriate.
? Implement prosecution and/or restitution procedures. Request assistance when necessary.
? Coordinate and assist in planning/placement of all technology and CCTV resources, ensure equipment is effectively utilized.
? Ensure prompt and accurate submission of all required reporting.
? Review informational sources to uncover losses through procedural audits.
? Demonstrate commitment to company goals and values through a management style that promotes honest, open door communication.
? Ensure a safe environment for associates and customers.
? Work with senior AP leadership and store management team on addressing Asset Protection issues.
? Partner with local law enforcement to resolve complex theft issues (ORC, Fraud, Counterfeiting, etc)

QUALIFICATIONS
? Minimum 3-5 years Asset Protection experience with one year spent in supervisory and investigative capacity.
? Thorough knowledge of internal theft resolution programs (W-Z, XBR, Covert Camera Usage, etc.)
? Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
? Advanced level of administrative and technical knowledge in Retail Asset Protection.
? Advanced knowledge and technical expertise in internal and external shortage controls, security systems technology.
? Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
? Thorough knowledge of legal ramifications and procedures.
? Knowledge of exception based reporting system.
? Experience with Microsoft Office.
? Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
