We use our knowledge and experience to help private and public sectors to understand complex tax rules and make informed decisions, help organisations and individuals maximise their tax efficiency and manage their tax risks, and offer a range of business-focused core legal services offered by our recently introduced Legal Services in China.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Work closely with tax partners/directors to achieve clients’ business objectives while assist clients to drive tax compliance and risk management;
• Assist clients to formulate/modify tax strategies and implement efficient tax structure for transactions (including acquisitions and dispositions, restructuring, various business initiatives);
• Assist clients to optimize the tax operations/process/tools in China;
• Assist clients to communicate with tax authorities on audit and other tax queries;
• Conduct research relating to China tax and business issues;
• Communicate with clients and maintain good relationships; and
• Supervise the work of junior staff members within the group.

Reporting to: Director/Partner

Requirements

• 6 – 8 years’ relevant experience in China and international tax advisory/compliance work;
• Practice experience in both CPA firm and industry is welcome;
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin;
• Confidence with a strong business sense;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills;
• CPA or CTA qualification is preferred.
