China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) is opening a new office in Changsha and will be recruiting a Chief Representative to spearhead this exciting expansion. The successful candidate will be developing our business in Hunan Province and central China, and oversee relationships with local government, CBBC members, and other key stakeholders in the region. He or she will lead a small team based in Changsha.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Work with the CBBC team to provide advice and consultation services to UK businesses of all sectors, sizes and experience in China.

• Drive growth in UKTI and CBBC services, as well as servicing the needs of existing clients in the region.
• Manage the team in Changsha to achieve key targets.
• Ensure the smooth running of the Changsha office, including financial reporting and monthly reporting.
• Maintain and develop relationships with government departments and local businesses in Hunan Province to support UK companies' interests.
• Identify key business opportunities for UK companies in Hunan.
  

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, an energetic team player, and a highly credible representative for CBBC in the region. Specific requirements for the role are as follows:

• Proven track record as a manager, preferably with a services or consulting background.
• Thrives on developing motivated, results-oriented teams.
• Proactive approach to building business relationships at senior level.
• Experience in consultative selling and business development with both international and Chinese clients.
• Demonstrable understanding of the concerns of and issues faced by UK companies doing business in China.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English essential.

Salary will be in the range of RMB10, 000 - RMB13, 500 per month.
