Position: Officer, Faculty Office of Social Sciences (Ref. AD12056)

Qualifications:
Essential: Master degree in Education Administration, English, Business Management, or other relevant area; Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin; Excellent organizational and planning skills; Good IT skills; Excellent problem solving skills; Work experience in the administration in Higher Education sector; Experience of using database systems for data management; Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude; Able to take initiative; Able to work under pressure; Willingness to work out of office hours or during holidays occasionally if requested; No Criminal record.
Desirable: Overseas Degree in Education Administration, English, Business Management, or other relevant area; Experience of working in an international setting; Experience in a management or team leader role; Sense of customer orientation.
Salary & Benefits: RMB122,000 - RMB174,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To supervise the Faculty Office of Social Sciences team to ensure the smooth running of this office;
- To develop and determine appropriate team or individual workflow and activity scheduling in order to meet targets and/or turnaround times;
- To work as the faculty administrator to provide Nottingham University Business School China administrative support, including module enrolment, seminar allocations, exam administration, mark processing, progression and degree recommendations, supporting Head of the Faculty, liaison with Home School in UK and webpage maintenance;
- To deal with staff and student queries;
- To prepare information for department heads/internal & external examiners for further analysis;
- To coordinate textbook distribution;
- To liaise with Academic Services Office to update and maintain the University Student Records system;
- To maintain smooth work coordination and communication with Academic Services Office;
- To represent the office to coordinate with other offices and offer support to other offices as appropriate;
- To help new staff and other existing staff develop job related skills and professional awareness;
- To participate in training and staff development events, as trainer or trainee as appropriate;
- Any other duties appropriate to the grade and role of the post holder.
